faversham creek neighbourhood plan

Assisted the Faversham Creek Trust and the Brents Residents Association with representations during extensive consultation throughout the drafting and examination of the Faversham Creek Neighbourhood Plan prepared by Faversham Town Council.

Provided advice in relation to the initial failure to prepare a SEA or consider appropriate baseline evidence on the historic character and archaeological significance. Further detailed shortcoming of draft policies, including those related to site allocations that would not comply with Planning (Listed Buildings and Conservation Areas) Act 1990 in general and the general duties under ss 66 and 72 that underpin government and local policy in respect of listed buildings and their settings and of conservation areas.

Representations submitted during consultation were addressed in changes to the draft plan recommended in the Examiner's report.
