Ken Whittaker BSc (Hons), FSA

Director and founder

A delivery focused, creative project  director and heritage conservation consultant with 30 years' frontline leadership experience. 

Ken has led multi-disciplinary teams within the planning, environment and engineering consultancy sector for over twenty years. He assists customers who regulate, manage, maintain and develop property assets and landholdings: delivering conservation, social value and public realm outputs on infrastructure, regeneration and development projects across the private and public domain.

 

His enthusiasm and expertise extend across historic environment sub-disciplines, including archaeology, the built environment, historic landscapes and designed spaces.​ His  approach reflects a professional and personal interest in the multi-scalar human contribution to long-term environmental and landscape dynamics, especially in urban and post-industrial settings. 

 

He is a Design Council Expert with a reputation for innovation; offering a creative, narrative-driven, design-aware approach. He takes a keen interest in contemporary cultural and environment issues, including climate resilience, ethno-ecology and social equity. 

An instinctive and persuasive collaborator, he promotes open and collegiate working practices and creates strong, trusting relationships with clients, colleagues and stakeholders
